Firefox

Please tell me this is happening to all of you?!? Because the SECOND time my hard-drive crashed on this computer (which is less than a year old) they told me that it was probably a coincidence. However, that I should consider this sort of thing a "red-flag." Okay, well, the flag is up because it's happening again. Safari as well.

Oh and get this, Mac won't give me a new computer. They insist on replacing the hard-drives and say the two that died (from two different locations, six months apart) were probably part of a "bad batch." Can you imagine?

If this computer crashes again I think I will literally kill somebody.

It sounds like something is infecting your hard drives..your motherboard or cables that mac should replace. If you purchased apple care you should be getting a new computer.

Whenever I use an Apple/MAC on set/studio...the safari crashes. Firefox runs fine.

My pesonal computer is a pc. My firefox may run slow to where I have to restart my computer, but never crashes to that extreme.

HTH! :)

I feel you... the last time I used Safari was to login to gay.com *nudge nudge* and it crashes ALL THE TIME! I haven't encountered as much problem with Firefox... but in regards to the hard drive, my maccie's hard drive died within the first 6 months and I don't even store that much stuff in it... so I feel your pain...

hmmmm
harddisk crash is the worst..
due to all the data and info...

if you always on the move...
consider a SSD ..
it is a Solid State Drive *like those used in MacBook Air*

it is extremely expensive but since it is Solid State.. chances that it crash.. is very very low......

last time this was happening to me apple talked me through something in system preferences that sort of resets things (?) it worked.

never had a problem with my hard drive though and its over three years old so i think its unrelated to firefox crashing... or my hard drive came from the 'good batch' lucky me...
