This kid's amazing! With his classic good looks reminiscent of Armani campaigns gone by, Major's Simon Nessman is set to be a star.

Juan Heredia

My favorite model turned artist (or artist turned model) Juan Heredia threw a party last night with the 55DSL crew and lemme tell ya, ALL the boys were out. And even a few of my favorite girlfriends! Gaspard and Peter were on hand to check out the crowd which consisted of skaters, surfers, hipsters and hotties. All there for Juan.

I did a post on Juan and his wearable art this summer which featured some of Request's best. The only thing missing was Juan himself, who was busy behind the lens. So I thought I'd head down to Soho to not only show my support but finally snap a shot of this talented little Argentine.

When he's not shooting L'Uomo Vogue with Bruce Weber or helping men's wear designer Tony Melillo style his show, Juan is either on the beach or in his studio turning his passion in to reality!

One of the things I've always loved about fashion is the wide variety of girls from all over the world we get to choose from. The Brits, the Russians, the much diversity. Bruna is completely different than Anja who looks nothing like Coco or Solange.

And what gives a girl longevity? Is it how firm of an impression she plants on the psyche of fashion? How are Angela Lindvall, Liya Kebede and Erin Wasson able to gracefully step back into the picture garnering the same adulation and respect they did circuits of girls ago? Fronting a major cosmetic line certainly doesn't hurt your cache value. Will Hilary Rhoda command the same adoration in years to come?

Supreme dominated the runways this season with a fresh new wave of girls. While DNA remained at the top with a stable of heavy hitters led by (the ever present) Raquel Zimmerman, Agyness Deyn, Snejana Onopka, Kim Noorda and now Maryna Linchuk and Ali Michael.

I love it, it's like the All-Stars of modeling. Someone should do playing cards.
I'll see your Natasha Poly and raise you a Hana Soukupova!

Andy Samberg

This is me bum-rushing SNL hottie Andy Samberg for a photo. I stepped outside for a smoke with some friends and returned far more "smoked" than expected. I don't know what happened, I turned in to a crazed fan. And if that wasn't bad enough, after realizing how ridiculous I looked (Alexis and Carol from Paper can attest), I spun around and yelled "Sorry Adam!" Can you imagine? What an idiot.

The irony of it all is that I am a huge fan! I watch him religiously and he apparently (according to him) has a huge wanker. I just always thought his name was Adam and early on in the evening he even referred to himself as such, which Mr. Mickey would later clarify was a joke.

Ugh...I blame the smoke.

What Up? Caroline Trentini

Brazilian bombshell Caroline Trentini has come out of nowhere! With eight seasons under her belt, she has emerged as THE girl of the moment. Blond-hair and blue-eyed, Caroline recently explained to me the diversity of the Brazilian people in both appearances and tastes, as well as how the regions relate to one another.

She is organized, grateful, enjoys her work and is having a great time. Her English has improved since I saw her last and vastly since arriving in New York years ago, with no grasp of the language what-so-ever.

I love Caroline Trentini. I found her refreshingly down to earth and pleasantly self-assured.

What's up Caroline?

JD Ferguson: So Caroline, you've been doing really well. How does it feel?
Caroline Trentini: I
ts been great! I think I am in a really good part of my career now where I know what I'm doing and people are really trusting me in a way which is really nice. I think its great when you can really give to someone and be confident about it.
JD: How old are you?
CT: Twenty.
JD: When did you start modeling?

CT: At fifteen, in Brazil.
JD: Where in Brazil are you from?

CT: The south.

JD: Okay, I have a question I've always wanted to ask. Are Brazilian girls just as crazy about Brazilian boys as the rest of us are?
CT: Yes, I think so. People ask me, "Whats your type?"
and I always say, "Tall Brazilian."
JD: Wow really?
CT: I think it's the energy. It's not even about being good looking it's about a certain light.

JD: And American guys, do they do anything for you?
CT: Of course. I have, you know, many American friends and they are cute too. I find Americans are kind of harder to have fun with because they are shy and Brazilians are much more open as people.
JD: Do you have a boyfriend or do you not have time?

CT: I don't have one. Its not that I don't have time. I just think I'm fine as I am. I have time for my career and friends and family which is the most important thing for me. If a relationship comes, it comes.

JD: I was actually shocked to learn you were Brazilian. Do you get that a lot?
CT: Yes, a lot.
The thing is, people have such an image about Brazilans, that they are only dark-skinned, but we have such a different mix. In the North, like Sao Paolo, you find the traditional dark hair and dark skin and then in the South you have more fair-skin blond, blue eyes.
JD: Well you know, I'm quite popular in the saunas of Rio.
CT: You should go to the ones in Sao Paolo, I hear there's a new one that's amazing. You should check it out and tell me how it is. I have so many gay friends that tell me about it.

JD: So are you ready for show season?
CT: Ya, I'm always ready for work. I think its important to really enjoy what you do and I do. This will be my eighth season.

JD: In a row?
Damn...How do you do it?
Well, you can see both sides of everything that's what I've learned. I try to catch what's good. Meeting new people, going to cool places. There is always bad in everything, I think it's important to always stay with what's good.
JD: Your English has improved so much since last time we spoke, no?

CT: Oh ya definitely. Thank you. I didn't speak any English at all when I came to New York. We don't have second language in Brazil growing up. From travelling, I've learned a lot.
JD: Is there any job or ad that your're particularly proud of or stands out in your mind?
I'm gonna say an Italian Vogue job I did about three years ago. It was a paparazzi story and was really fun. I'm going to keep that story for a really really long time to show my kids.
Well it must've been fun to stand out in your mind from three years ago. Do you go out at all?
CT: I do but it's not really my favorite thing to do. I have a lot of friends in New York and we like to play cards, one is a chef so she cooks. I have a very comfortable routine. People here like to go crazy and I like to have things, more planned. My agency (Marilyn) really knows how organized I like to be and how I like to work.
I do go dancing sometimes to Brazilian dance called Forro. Do you know it?
JD: No, what's it like?

CT: It's like need a partner (motions with arms)...I don't know how to describe it but its really shaky and crazy.
Okay girl, I think we're good. You are still my favorite Brazilian (female) and I can't wait to play with you backstage!
CT: Oh me too, is always fun.
JD: How do you go so long, all those weeks doing shows?
CT: It is crazy, but its my job. The experience, the money and working with your girlfriends it's like a big party. I'm not going to say I enjoy it one-hundred percent, its very stressful and can be very heavy sometimes. But like I said, I just try to stay with all the good parts of it because at the end of the day I'm very grateful and happy with how everything is going.

Got a call from John Tan one morning to come and shoot some boys. So we met out in Williamsburg and shot in and around the subway, all the way down to Coney Island, where we spent the entire day. Models were Jensen, Nealon and Jake and they were a total blast!

For details about the day as well as my story, check out this month's Anthem. Or if you can't wait, here are a few outtakes.

Outtakes: Erik Rhodes

Because he's SO f*cking hot and I have hours upon hours of him nude, I'm giving you a variety of Erik Rhodes outtakes this week. Where I normally only do bedroom or hallway shots, I've decided to post both.

I've read quite a bit on the web (complete with before and after comparison shots) of how Erik's photos for the Papermag porn star series had been worked on. And though I am flattered that someone would think my skills as a re-toucher are that good, I'm afraid it's just not so.

Yes, I removed the infamous scar from his arm (as I do all the models I shoot) and with minimal cleaning up of the skin, I am happy to report these shots are 100% Erik Rhodes.

I don't know if it's because he hams it up in front of the lens or because his nudes have remained as my screen saver since the day we met; or if it's his beaUtiful uncut shlong, but I can't get enough of Erik Rhodes! His boyfriend Danny accompanied him on our shoot with a handy-cam for some behind-the-scenes footage for his website. They are both very sweet and were a lot of fun.

What Up? Mickey Boardman

Mickey Boardman is fierce! He's my new BFF. With a penchant for royalty and a routine gig on VH-1's "The Fabulous Life Of," Mickey manages to not only maintain a busy social calendar, but also serves as Deputy Editorial Director as well as Ambassador to New York City's Paper Magazine.

Dispensing common sense to the
love lorn and fashionably inept, Mr. Mickey sits at the helm of the company's popular website. His style has been described as "alcoholic housewife," he is vegetarian, he loves what he does and he loves his life.

I first noticed Mickey while sitting out in front of V with my morning coffee and cigs. Each day he'd sashay down to Paper, in high-shorts with glittered hand bag and fluorescent shirt. "Hey girl!" I'd screamed, "Hey!" with a friendly wave and smile. I instantly loved him before I even knew who he was.

He's non-judgmental, down-to-earth and most importantly, himself. I love Mickey Boardman!

So whassup girl?

MH: Mr. Mickey here!
JD Ferguson:
Hey doll! Did you see the email from the "straight" porn star?
I can't believe he wants you to pimp whores for him!
I know, I think it's his way of letting me know he's straight, so I don't get any ideas.
Maybe Carol or Alexis can help you out.
JD: So hon, where are you?
At the office obviously.
JD: First a little background. Where's Mr. Mickey from?
Mr. Mickey (note the E) was born in Chicago and grew up in Hanover Park Illinois. A charming suburb just next to Barrington, which is where Cynthia Rowley is from.
How was high-school for you?
I was voted biggest gossip (male) at Hoffman Estates High School.
So I guess it's only fitting that you should end up in fabulous NYC smack dab in the middle of it all.
MM: I was there until I returned from teaching English in Madrid, to discover my parents had moved to Daytona.
JD: Florida!?! Without telling you?
MM: They told me they were going there on vacation because they thought I 'd be traumatized if they moved.
JD: So what did you do?
MM: Stayed for six months and worked at the Hawaiian Tropic suntan lotion factory.
JD: Cute boys in Madrid?
MM: My only two boyfriends ever were from Madrid. Ramon and Felix.
JD: Ah, that's sweet. Did you always know you wanted to be fabulous?
MM: Yes I always wanted to be fabulous. I never had a plan of what I wanted to do with my life but I had a very jet set lifestyle in mind.
JD: So what type of guys drive you wild?
MM: Well I have a WIDE range of types but generally I like any man who is a bit of a caricature.
JD: Such as?
MM: I LOVE Indian men mostly and am EXTREMELY popular with the cab drivers of South Asia.
JD: NO! Really? But your so Tiger Tyson.
MM: For example (caricature) I love a really muscly bear or a super skinny rocker or a business man in a fancy suit.
JD: Ah gotcha.
MM: All the classic role play types.
JD: Like a real "look." What role do you play?
MM: I've had sex with about thirty-five taxi drivers.
JD: NO! I love it!
MM: Or more even.
JD: In Asia or NYC?
JD: I guess we've all had our horny rides in taxis with hot drivers.
MM: As for 'role' I'm neither top NOR bottom. I'm all oral.
JD: Ah, a girl after my own heart.
But I have the soul of a bottom.
JD: That's why I love you.

Obedient Sons

My favorite thing about Obedient Sons was Sean O'Pry, Ryan Taylor (who I am officially obsessed with) and Nick Snyder. They are always fun, especially when the three of them are together.

With every major mens magazine firmly placed in the front row, Swaim Hutson's show was a complete success, which came as no surprise to me. I shot and wrote about his Kingstown Mutiny collection months ago and knew it would only be a matter of time before everyone else caught wind of this young, fresh, stylish line.

Proenza Schouler

Backstage Proenza was a nightmare, totally un-accommodating, which is such a shame because I'm a huge fan and always turn them out. I didn't care though. I was happy to play with's Greg Kessler and Sean Cunningham of Harper's Bazaar, along with my honey Raquel Zimmerman, who I love!

Backstage my first season, it was Sean who would be credited for the new techniques and interesting photo equipment I was being exposed to. He is an industry leader. He's full of piss and vinegar, but that's what I love about him and he's got a big heart.

Greg Kessler's pics can be see all over the world in both print and on the web. His work is widely respected. He's very cool, extremely charismatic and I always enjoy running in to him at events around the city.

Raquel? Well...what can I say about Raquel that hasn't already been said? She is in a league of her own.

I showed them the hysterical post Bryanboy did using one of the outtakes, complete with conversation attached. They got a real kick out of it. Especially Raquel.

Catherine McNeil

I had not yet encountered Catherine McNeil until backstage at Diesel. What a sexy tall drink of water she is. It wasn't until taxiing up to Ralph that I realized who this amazon beauty was. It was the first thing out of my mouth when I greeted the other photographers, and they were actually confused at my enthusiasm and interest. Catherine McNeil is how I remember supermodels to be. Perry Ellis could not have been any more up my alley. Fell head over heels for IMG's Blake Kuchta, played with Chad White, caught up with Garrett Neff and was very happy to see an old time fave of mine was back, Joel McMillan. Calvin Klein Party

The Calvin Klein party was off the f*ckin' hook Yo! And not just because I got to talk to, the still hot, Antonio Sabato Jr. or the legendary Michael Bergin. The space was so large and comfortable, with a limited amount of selected guests, there was plenty of room to move about the venue comfortably, complete with posing underwear models in elevated glass cube.
